In 1984, The year after starring in the now classic blockbuster Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harrison Ford took on an entirely different kind of role. Ford, with director Ridley Scott at the helm, took us into a dystopian Los Angeles, a scary vision of the future where androids hid in dark corners of society. The film has a huge cult following, and a wider range of fan theories than most Star Wars fans could shake a lightsaber at.
Now we have the first full trailer for Blade Runner 2049, the long awaited sequel to the 1982 science fiction masterpiece.
Blade Runner is set in a post-apocalyptic world where android beings, who are virtually indistinguishable from adult humans, are hunted by an elite group of rogue bounty hunters. Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford, reluctantly agrees to take on an assignment to hunt down a group of recently-escaped ‘replicants’, a case which leads him to question his own understanding of human nature.

Blade Runner was originally released in 1982, and is an adaptation of the Philip K. Dick novel ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’ written in 1968. The sequel, ‘Blade Runner 2049’, stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford reprising the role of Deckard.
