Who could still make the leap?

Several MPs, mostly Brexiters, still have rumours surrounding them:

Penny Mordaunt

Mordaunt has refused to back Theresa May’s Chequers proposal since it was originally announced in July.

In recent days Mordaunt told reporters that a Brexit deal must not “trap” the UK in a customs arrangement.

However, Mordaunt is believing to be pushing for the idea of a free vote on final Brexit deal, which she also discussed in Wednesday evening’s cabinet meeting.

Mordaunt became international development secretary last year after Priti Patel was forced to step down, following the revelation that she had held secret meetings with the Israeli government.

Despite the fact that Gove was rumoured to have been considering the role of Brexit secretary, he is still reportedly considering handing in his resignation.
