If you ask us, it’s not quite warm enough yet to start getting into any outdoor activities. It’s best to whack the heating up and login to Netflix. The UK is getting a lot of new content for April, with some all-time classics along with some quirkier stuff.
We’ve got the rundown of everything new to Netflix in April – take a look and see what’s going to be eating up the hours this month.
1 April
Knocked Up
In 2007, Knocked Up saw Seth Rogen’s first leading role, seven years after his supporting role in the fantastic Freaks and Geeks. This is still a hilarious and ridiculous comedy today.
Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World
This quirky comedy sees the unlikely camaraderie of Steve Carell and Keira Knightley, who, as the title suggests, provide each other comfort as the world ends around them.
4th April
American Psycho
Razor-sharp dialogue (straight from Bret Easton Ellis’ original novel), incredible direction (by Mary Harron), and infinite cool. Christian Bale’s performance as yuppie serial killer Patrick Bateman remains one of his best to date.
5th April
Day of the Dead
This zombie classic is the third entry in the legendary Night of The Living Dead series by director George A. Romero. Romero once described the film as a “tragedy about how a lack of human communication causes chaos and collapse even in this small little pie slice of society”.
11th April
Anger Management
Depending on which generation you ask, this is one of Nicholson’s most memorable outings. Adam Sandler finds himself in an anger management programme alongside the most unorthodox therapist, played by Jack Nicholson – hilarity ensues.

Monty Python
An indisputably legendary piece of comedic history, the mad genius of the Monty Python troupe is unforgettable. 11 films from the series are coming to Netflix in April, including Holy Grail and Life of Brian, considered by most critics to be two of the greatest comedies of all-time.
